Beskrivning
Black lamp holder with outer thread and two rings for fixing, for example, a lamp shade. The shade should have a ring fitting for the E14 socket, also called the small socket. The lamp holder has an inner M10 thread in the bottom, so you can fit a nipple or a cable clamp.
The pack contains one lamp holder, 2 shade rings, an insulation sleeve and a cable clamp. This holder works well in table lamps and hanging window lamps where you want to use a shade.
Changing the lamp holder is a good way to make an old lamp safe, especially if it has been used with incandescent or halogen bulbs and the old holder has become brittle. These holders have a lock, so you do not risk unscrewing the threaded holder together with the bulb. This keeps live parts from being exposed.
To remove the old lamp holder, loosen the screw in the bottom so you can turn the old holder off and fit the new one. This screw holds the lamp holder to the nipple, so the wires do not twist and come loose when you screw a bulb in and out. The new lamp holder also has this screw.
The insulation sleeve is a white plastic tube that keeps the wires from touching the nipple and the metal parts underneath. Always fit it to make the lamp holder electrically safe.
The cable clamp is very important if the lamp hangs by its cable. No load may be put on the copper wires. All pull must be taken by the cable clamp, which is screwed onto the cable so it holds, but not so hard that it cuts into the insulation and damages the wires.
The lamp holder is not earthed.
