Beskrivning
Candle bulb 12V 2.4W in a 3-pack from Star Trading with E10 socket for candle holders and light strings with 20 lights, or for products with a 12V transformer. The bulb has the classic ribbed glass that looks like the flame of a candle, a shape used for many years. The voltage is 12V (240V divided by the number of lights: 240/20 = 12V). The power is 2.4W per bulb. The product is also available as LED, which has a longer life.
If you use the bulb with a transformer, check that the transformer is for 12V, since many transformers for Christmas lighting use 24V. The wrong voltage can damage the bulbs or give too weak a light.
Candle bulbs for 230V work on the principle that the voltage depends on how many lights the candle holder has. This means that if one bulb breaks, all lights in the candle holder go out because the circuit is broken. You can test if a bulb works by holding it against a 9V battery (the type used in smoke alarms): hold the bottom against one pole and the metal base against the other pole. If the bulb glows, it works.
As a rule you can use LED bulbs instead of incandescent bulbs if the candle holder is connected directly to the wall socket without a transformer. Many people still choose incandescent bulbs, since they give a warm light that looks like real candles.
The bulbs are dimmable and have a life of 1000 hours. They are for indoor use, but can be used in outdoor light strings if the seal fits tightly against the glass.
Size: length 45 mm, diameter 13 mm.
